Admission Detail
Application form for admission can be obtained/is issued from the School Office. Receiving of application form does not guarantee admission, it only indicates that the child's name will be entered for the class into which admission is sought. After the receipt of filled in application form, the details of the time and place of a personal meeting of the child along with parent will be intimated through a notice displayed on the school notice board.
- New admission is taken only to LKG. Admissions to other classes, if any, will depend on the availability of seats and on competence of the student.
- Students who seek admission to UKG — VII will have to write entrance test in English, science and mathematics. Only those who obtain 60% or above will be considered fit for admission. The result of the test will be published on the notice board.
- Candidate seeking admission must be accompanied by a responsible person, parent or guardian, who can fill in correct details required in the application form and sign it. 4. If the candidate has previously attended any school, the transfer certificate from the last school must be produced at the time of admission.

- No pupil shall be allowed to attend classes without the formal enrolment.
- Admission may be refused to a candidate who is above age for the class to which admission is sought.
- Application for Transfer Certificates shall be made in writing to the principal, on the application form, by the parent or guardian of the pupil. A fee of Rs. 50 will be charged for transfer certificate and Rs. 30 for conduct certificate or duplicate of the same, or for any extract from the register.
- No Certificate of any kind will be given to students who are in arrears.
Admission Details for Higher Secondary
ELIGIBILITY
- The qualification for admission is a HSLC or its equivalent Examination passed from State or Central Boards.
- A candidate should have secured 60% for Science stream and 50% marks for Arts Stream.
- The candidate must be proficient in English as the medium of instruction is English.
- Candidates whose results for the qualifying examination are not yet declared may also apply, provided he/she is confident of fulfilling all the criteria for admission and is able to submit the original mark sheets before the admission procedures are closed.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
- APPLICATION FORM and PROSPECTUS can be obtained from the School Office or it could be downloaded from the website on payment of Rs. 300/- (Nonrefundable) from the last week of March.
- Application Form, complete in all respects and with all the stipulated documents, should reach the School Office on or before the date mentioned on the application Form.
- Incomplete application Forms will be rejected.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE

- Written Test: The test will be written in English.
- Personal Interview.

- Admit Card of Class X Board Examination
- Xerox Copy of the Mark Sheet of Board Examination
- Pass Certificate of Class X Board Examination
- Transfer Certificate from the school last attended
- Character Certificate from the school last attended
- SEBA/CBSE Registration Card
- Migration Certificate from students passed from Boards other than SEBA
- SC/ST/OBC/MOBC Certificate in the name of the student
- Birth Certificate
- Medical/Fitness Certificate
- 2 copies of Color passport size photos.
- The Original documents are to be produced for verification at the time of interview.
- When admission is granted, the fees must be paid within the stipulated date, failing which the admission will stand cancelled.
- If any statement furnished by the student is found to be incorrect at any time, he/she is liable to be debarred permanently from the course.
The course of instruction is as per the regulation of Higher Secondary Courses in “ARTS & SCIENCE STREAMS” of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Guwahati.

EXAMINATION
Daily attendance is compulsory. Students having less than 85% attendance are liable to be debarred from Unit Test and Selection Test. Every absence must be accounted for by a leave letter. A student who absents himself/herself for over a week will have his/her removed from the School Register. However, if a student is delegated by the School to participate in seminars, workshops, or games and sports, such absence would not be considered for computing the minimum required attendance.
ATTENDANCE
The School regularly conducts Tutorial Classes, Unit Tests and Selection Tests. The marks secured by the students at the Unit Tests and Tutorial Classes are taken into consideration at the time of selection.

DISCIPLINE
- Students who are admitted to Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Silapathar, will be under the discipline of the Principal, Vice Principal, Headmistress and other staff of the institution.
- Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, conduct injurious to the moral tone of the institution justify dismissal at any time of the year, unless the student after having admonished, corrects himself/herself.
- No act of indiscipline and insubordination, interference in the administration, disrespect to any teacher, and disrespect to any religion or community by any student shall be tolerated. Misbehavior of any sort will attract disciplinary actions, according to their gravity, in the form of fine, suspension and even cancellation of his/her registration as a student at the Institute.
- Anyone using unfair means in Tests/Examinations will be debarred from further examinations/ He/she will be declared to have failed and may even be expelled from the Institution premises.
- Any damage done to the Institutions property must be made good by the pupils.
