In a world in which the students are increasingly isolated by computers, cell phones and television, children need to learn how to interact with one another. They need to know how to treat each other, and how to address each other’s needs
Any skill the students learn is important. They need to be taught the basics of professionalism. They need to know it’s important to be punctual, and to dress properly. They need to exhibit good manners and obey social conventions, not just during working hours, but at all times.
Field trips take the book learning from the class room to their own surroundings. It helps the students to observe what they have learned, to assess and to gain wealth of experience. Students are able to see elements with their eyes rather than reading about it. Visiting a farm is much more powerful than reading about it in the books.
Field trips also provide entertainment for students. It helps them to break away from the normal routine time table and helps them to refresh their minds.
Project work motivates the students and helps them to have a feeling of achievement. It offers children to do something meaningful. They work on a given topic and are using language for a specific purpose. Project work makes students responsible for their own learning. It is more of student-centric which makes the learning more personal and practical.
